“14th annual Stars of Tomorrow.” New Castle Playhouse, Augustine Auditorium, 202 E. Long Ave., New Castle, Pa. Auditions are 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Acts can be individual or small group, vocal, dance, instrumental, comedy, variety of any kind. Students grades 7-12 are eligible to audition. Be prepared to perform as if it were the actual show. William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It.” Youngstown State University Theater, Bliss Hall, Room 1220. Auditions are 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Perusal scripts are available in the Department of Theater and Dance office. Those applying for musician role should be prepared to sing a folk song with guitar. Performances are Jan. 28-31. Neil LeBute’s “The Shape of Things.” Youngstown State University Theater, Spotlight Arena Theater, Bliss Hall. Auditions are 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Be prepared to read from script. Prepared audition pieces also are appreciated. Scripts are now available for check-out in the Department of Theater and Dance office. If you are cast for this production, please be prepared to attend a read-through Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. in the Spotlight Arena Theater. Performances are Feb. 18-28. “Inherit the Wind” and “Blithe Spirit.” Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, Youngstown. Auditions will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 and 13 at the playhouse. Needed for “Inherit the Wind”: 21 men and six women, age 21 and older; one boy, one girl and extras. Auditioners must bring a wallet-size photo and will be asked to read from the script. Performances are March 12-21. Needed for “Blithe Spirit”: two males age 40-60, five females age 25-80. Same requirements plus demonstrate the ability to use a British accent.
