Warren man shot; woman friend accused

WARREN — Delshawn L. Dansler, 25, of Ridge Road Southeast, is in critical condition in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital with two gunshot wounds to the chest.

He was shot early today by woman he knew, police said.

The woman, believed to be Asia Bradley, 23, of 970 Tod Avenue Northwest, is in Trumbull County Jail and will be arraigned today in Warren Municipal Court. The specific charges she faced were not available this morning.

Police say they have not interviewed Dansler but are hoping to talk to him today if he survives. They don’t know what led up to the shooting, said Sgt. Jeff Cole.

Police were called to Bradley’s apartment at about 1:45 a.m. for a disturbance. At the apartment, they found Dansler had been shot. They questioned Bradley and took her into custody.

Bradley, who was convicted of robbery in 2004 when she was 18, was the victim of a crime in 2007 committed by a male relative, Charles Lemons.

Lemons, 52, of Warren Township, was sentenced to 58 years in prison earlier this year for raping Bradley in her North Feederle Drive Southeast apartment after hitting her five times in the head with a hammer.
