All-OAC team: The 2009 All-Ohio Athletic Conference teams will be released on Monday. It is expected that Mount Union will have close to 10 players voted to the first team.

Home cooking: Mount Union has now won 37 straight home contests, including 17 consecutive playoff games at Mount Union Stadium.

College football first: Washington and Jefferson became the first team in college football history to wear numbered uniforms on Sept. 19, 1908.

Up the charts: Senior Cecil Shorts moved into third place all-time at Mount Union in career receiving yards, passing Ed Bubonics (1989-1991, 1993). Shorts has 3,194 yards receiving and trails Pierre Garcon (3,363) and Adam Marino (3,436).

Next week: Mount Union will host Montclair State (N.J.) in the second round of the postseason at noon.

Running in reverse: Mount Union’s defense held Washington and Jefferson to minus 6 yards rushing. It was the first time this season, Mount Union has limited an opponent to negative rushing yards.

Iron man: Senior defensive end Joe Millings played in his 58th career game at Mount Union. That ties Derek Blanchard for the most games all-time.

Five in a row: The Purple Raiders scored at least 50 points for the fifth straight contest.
