NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Mike Santorelli and David Legwand scored shootout goals to lead Nashville. Pekka Rinne denied two of Columbus’ three shooters in the tiebreaker to earn his fifth consecutive victory. Jason Arnott, Legwand and Martin Erat had goals for Nashville in regulation. R.J. Umberger scored at 4:55 of the opening period to give Columbus a 1-0 lead. Umberger added a second goal, and Anton Stralman also scored for the Blue Jackets.
Flames 5, Kings 2
LOS ANGELES — Jarome Iginla scored a goal in each period to lead Calgary over Los Angeles. Iginla completed his first hat trick of the season, and ninth of his career, with a shot from the right circle that got past goalie Jonathan Quick with 4:07 left in the game. It was Iginla’s 11th goal in his last nine games. The Calgary captain scored the Flames’ first goal just 13 seconds after the opening faceoff. He tied it at 2 during a 5-on-3 power play 6:51 into the second.
Maple Leafs 2, Capitals 1, SO
TORONTO — Phil Kessel, Niklas Hagman and a couple of good bounces helped pull the Toronto Maple Leafs out of another extended winless slide. The Toronto forwards scored shootout goals, giving the Maple Leafs their first victory in six games. Hagman also scored in regulation for the Maple Leafs (4-11-6). Alex Ovechkin replied for Washington (13-5-5) with his 16th of the season.
Hurricanes 3, Lightning 1
RALEIGH, N.C. — Tuomo Ruutu and Jussi Jokinen scored second-period goals, and Manny Legace made 20 saves to help Carolina. Chad LaRose added a goal with 4:23 remaining in the game. Martin St. Louis scored for the Lightning, and Mike Smith made 24 saves. Tampa Bay entered the game 4-0-3 in its previous seven.
Panthers 3, Rangers 2
NEW YORK — Nathan Horton, Jordan Leopold and Steven Reinprecht scored goals and Tomas Vokoun made 32 saves as streaking Florida beat slumping New York. Vinny Prospal and Marian Gaborik scored for the Rangers, who lost for the fourth time in five games. These teams are going in opposite directions. After a slow start, the Panthers have won eight of 11 (8-2-1). The Panthers won for the second time in two nights.
Red Wings 3, Canadiens 2, SO
MONTREAL — Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg scored on Detroit’s first two shootout attempts to give the Red Wings the win. Datsyuk, who netted one of Detroit’s two power-play goals in the first period, deked and put a shot past Carey Price on the Red Wings’ first shootout try.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Keith Yandle scored a power-play goal with 9:41 remaining to help Phoenix beat Philadelphia for its second victory in three games.
Senators 5, Sabres 3
OTTAWA — Daniel Alfredsson had two goals and an assist, and Filip Kuba had a goal and three assists in Ottawa’s third straight victory. Chris Kelly and Milan Michalek also scored for the Senators. Thomas Vanek, Patrick Kaleta and Jason Pominville scored for Buffalo.
Stars 5, Devils 3
DALLAS — Defenseman Stephane Robidas had two goals and two assists, rookie Tom Wandell scored the tiebreaking goal for Dallas midway through the third period. Mike Ribeiro and rookie Warren Peters also scored, and Brad Richards had four assists for the Stars.
Blues 4, Islanders 1
ST. LOUIS — David Perron scored twice, and Patrik Berglund had his first goal in 13 games for St. Louis. Eric Brewer also scored, and Chris Mason stopped 23 shots as the Blues won back-to-back games for the first time since beating Detroit in Sweden on Oct. 2-3. Josh Bailey scored for New York.
