SENIOR SIDELIGHTS


• Niles SCOPE Center, 14 E. State St., Niles, has scheduled the following: Monday, Arthritis Foundation exercise program ($1) at 11 a.m., quilting and cards at 1 p.m., cards and lunch ($2) at 4, and TOPS at 5; Tuesday, breakfast ($2) at 9 a.m., square dancing ($3) at 9:30, a free Membership Appreciation Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Entertainment will be by Paul Rossi and his band, the Niles Choir, and the MoRays. Pre-registration is required; dance aerobics ($1) at 12:45 p.m., cards at 1 p.m.; and blood pressure checks and pinochle at 2:30; Wednesday, luncheon ($3 members and $4 nonmembers) at 11:30 a.m., bingo and Texas hold’em at 1, cards at 2:30. Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, Men’s and Women’s Needlecraft Club at 8:30; chair yoga class or Texas Hold’em at 10; and bridge at 1; Tuesday, oil painting, and Low Vision Support Group at Park Vista at 10, computer class at 10 and noon, exercises at noon, Digital Club at 2; Wednesday, watercolor class, Tai Chi at noon, Three Wisemen Class and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; Thursday, Center closed for Thanksgiving; and Friday, board games at 1 p.m. The following special events are scheduled: Monday, Community Fun Day sponsored by Glenellen Community Living from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Tuesday, Festival of Trees at Deerfield Restaurant 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Austintown Fun Day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Friday, Medicare 1010 from 10 a.m. to noon.
