YSU ensemble, concert band in Powers show

YOUNGSTOWN — “Musical Portraits,” Youngstown State University’s annual Band-O-Rama concert, will be at 8 p.m. Monday at Powers Auditorium, 260 W. Federal St. It features the YSU Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, conducted by Stephen L. Gage, YSU director of bands.

The concert will include a number of compositions that are written as musical portraits or tone poems.

Admission is $5 ($4 for seniors and non-YSU students; free for YSU students with ID). Tickets will be available at the door and in advance by calling the Youngstown Symphony Center box office at (330) 744-0264.
