Miss Magharing. Dr. Gabriel to wed in May ceremony

LAS VEGAS — Catherine Magharing, 5152 Moose Falls Drive, and Dr. Scott Gabriel, 920 Cedarcliff Ave., are announcing their engagement and plans for their upcoming marriage.

The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 5 p.m. ceremony on May 21 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Invitations will be issued for the wedding and for a reception to follow at the M Resort Spa Casino.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Charles and Susan Smith, 1407 S. 5th Place. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Brokenshire College in Davao City in the Philippines and is an operating room nurse at the Southwest Surgery Center.

Parents of the future groom are Dr. Thomas and Barbara Gabriel, 2375 Birch Trace, Austintown. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio. He is a general surgeon in Las Vegas.
