Fowler merchants plan Christmas walk

FOWLER — From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 28, area merchants will be participating in a community Christmas walk, which will make shopping for the holiday a festive event.

Stamps and packaging will be available at the post office, and lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fowler United Methodist Church. Gifts and vendors will be at Bockelman’s Landscaping and Gardening Center, a basket drawing drop-off will be at the Butts House, crafters, candles and souvenirs will be offered at Fowler General Store, holiday gift ideas at Judy’s Flower Basket, and decorations and collectibles at Tudor Octagon. Apple dumplings will be sold at Fowler Community Church, where a gingerbread house contest will be conducted. Shoppers can enter a “Candy Cane Lane” raffle at each stop.

Also open for visitors on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will be Country Christmas in the Gingerbread House and the Holiday at Olive Grace Quilt Shop.
