• Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. • Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided. No sales Thanksgiving week.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. • Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. • Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available. There will be no sales Nov. 27.

• St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza and $5 for white pizza.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. There will be no sales Thanksgiving week. Sales resume Dec. 4.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance. There will be no sales Nov. 27; sales will resume the following Friday.

SATURDAY

• Braceville United Methodist Church, 577 Park Road S.W., Newton Falls, will have a mini Christmas bazaar and stuffed pork chop dinner. Meals will be served from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and will include mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, homemade desserts, and coffee, tea or punch. Proceeds will benefit the American Legion scholarship fund.

• Safe Haven Pet Rescue will have an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Takeouts will be available. There will also be a silent auction.

• St. Mary Church, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., will have a stuffed cabbage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $15 per dozen, sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Southington American Legion Post 751 will serve Swiss steak dinners with mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, vegetable, beverages and dessert from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington. The donation is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Those 4 and under eat free. Takeouts available.

• Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will serve stuffed chicken breast dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. Meals include mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw and cake. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.

SUNDAY

• Hubbard Optimists Club will serve spaghetti dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Patrick Church Hall in Hubbard. Meals are $7 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for those under 6. Carryouts will be available, and there will be a Chinese auction.

• Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles, will have a cavatelli dinner from noon to 6 p.m. in Marian Hall as a benefit for Jon Scarnecchia, who is recovering from brain surgery and is undergoing radiation. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children.

• Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 3919 Southern Blvd., will have a spaghetti dinner from 12:15 to 2 p.m. Meals include salad, bread, beverage and cake. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

• St. John Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will serve its 106th anniversary old-fashioned New England buffet at noon. The all-you-can-eat meal will be served by candlelight and will feature roast turkey with herb stuffing, whipped potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, green beans, Plymouth Colony rutabaga, and an assortment of breads, beverages and desserts. • St. Mary and St. Joseph Church, 131 W. Quarry St., Newton Falls, will serve Polish dinners from noon to 3 p.m. at the social hall, 120 Maple Drive, Newton Falls. Prepared from Old World recipes by the Rev. Matthew Mankowski and parishioners, meals will feature homemade cabbage rolls, kielbasi and sauerkraut, pirogi, salad, dessert and beverages. The cost is $8.50 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 12 and free for those under 5.

• Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, will host a dinner of roast pork, potatoes, kraut, applesauce, rolls, coffee or tea, and dessert from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The cost is $8.50. Takeouts will be available.

• Sebring VFW Post 6730, 206 E. Ohio Ave., will serve steak dinners from 5 to 8 p.m. Meals include a 16-oz. porterhouse steak, baked potato and salad bar. The cost is $14. Carryouts available.

• Mended Hearts Support Group will have a holiday nut sale today through Dec. 21 at St. Elizabeth Health Center and in front of the cafeteria at the Jewish Community Center. Pickup of all items will be between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at Mindszenty Hall.

• St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, is taking orders for poppyseed, nut, poppyseed and raisins, nut with raisins, and apricot kolachi for the holidays. • Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview, Boardman, will have a Christmas cookie walk and soup sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 12. Cookies will be sold by the dozen and soup by the quart. Handsewn and miscellaneous items will also be sold.

• Hendersonville United Methodist Church, state Route 965, between Jackson Center and Franklin, Pa., will have an all-you-can-eat hunter’s chili dinner from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 30. In addition to homemade chili, meals include bread, a piece of pie and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 10. Patrons can take a quart jar to fill with chili for $4.

• ITAM Veterans Auxiliary will have a spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 29 at the ITAM Center, 115 S. Meridian Road. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread, dessert, coffee and tea. The cost is $6 for adults, $3.50 for children 6-10 and free for those under 5. Carryouts will be available. Containers can be purchased, or patrons may provide their own. Fresh pizzelles will be sold for $3 a dozen.

• St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will have an annual Christmas cookie sale from noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 5. The homemade cookies will be $8 per pound, pizzelles and clothespin cookies will be $4 a dozen, and kolachi will be $8 each.

• Vincent United Methodist Church, Walnut Street, Jackson Center, Pa., will serve an all-you-can-eat hunter’s breakfast buffet from 5 to 7 a.m. Nov. 30. Featured will be eggs, pancakes, home fries, bacon, sausage, toast and beverages. The cost is $7. Fill a thermos with coffee to go for $2.
