AUCTIONS

• St. John’s C.R. Orthodox Church will sponsor a Chinese auction Sunday at St. John’s Educational Center, Cedar and Morrison avenues, Sharon, Pa. CRAFT SHOWS

• Craft vendors are invited to participate in a craft show to be sponsored by St. Jude Women’s Guild from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Jude Activity Center, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana. • St. Mary Assumption Hall, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., will be the setting for a Christmas in November craft and gift show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission and parking are free. There will be food, a Chinese auction and raffles.

• Shepherd of the Valley-Niles plans its 15th annual Holiday Craft Show from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Twenty vendors will offer a wide variety of crafts, jewelry and food items. Proceeds from the craft show support resident activities.

• TNR of Warren Inc. will host a craft and gift show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 at Crest Lanes, 3390 Youngstown Road S.E., Warren. FLEA MARKETS

• Yard sale, garage sale, regift, collectibles and flea market vendors are invited to participate in an Indoor Flea Market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 28 E. Park Ave., during Christmas in Columbiana weekend. Vendors can reserve an 8-foot table and two chairs for $12 and keep all proceeds. All items are subject to approval. Setup will be from 7-9 a.m. The Alpha Omega youth group will serve a hot-soup and sandwich lunch. In addition to handcrafted and homemade items, there also will be a bake sale and a quilt raffle. • Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware and plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • Trumbull Senior Production is having a huge enclosed garage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 769 state Route 305, Cortland. Raffle tickets for a Dec. 16 drawing also will be sold. Winners need not be present. The cost is $1 for one ticket or six tickets for $5. The company also is collecting toys and canned goods to be donated to the mission for Christmas. In December, the company will go to nursing homes and sing Christmas carols. • Shrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., is having a Thanksgiving basket and 50-50 raffle. First prize is a turkey, ham and trimmings basket; second prize is a family fun basket; and third prize is a wine and cheese basket. TRIPS

• St. Paul Church in Salem is accepting reservations for a holiday bus trip on Dec. 6 to Columbus. The trip package includes tickets to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra’s two-hour matinee of “Holiday Pops 2009” with a chorus, children’s choir and Ballet Met dancers, and a guided tour of Franklin Park Conservatory and the Chiluly Exhibit.
