FAIRFIELD — The gazebo at Tori’s Banquet and Convention Center in Fairfield was the setting Aug 14 for the wedding of Amy Tkach Hughes and John Bowles.
The Rev. Dr. John H.H. Lewis of the Presbyterian Church in Hamilton officiated at the ceremony, and the couple accepted congratulations during a reception at the banquet center.
The bride is a daughter of Richard and Frances Tkach of Boardman, and parents of the groom are Mollie Martin of Fairfield and the late John Bowles Sr.
The bride wore a strapless ivory gown embellished with pearls and designed with a cathedral train. She held a nosegay of ivory and pink roses.
Alexandra (Lexi) Hughes, the bride’s daughter and honor attendant, wore a magenta-colored gown. A pink dress was worn by the junior bridesmaid/flower girl, Nicole Bowles, the groom’s daughter.
The duties of best man were performed by Blake Hughes, a son of the bride.
The bride is employed as a registered nurse/team leader with Anthem Behavioral Health in Mason. She graduated from the Idabelle Firestone School of Nursing in Akron and attended Ohio State University.
The groom is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. A member of the Ohio National Guard, he serves as a master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force.
After a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple live in Fairfield.
