Man indicted in rape of girl, 15

YOUNGSTOWN — A 55-year-old Campbell man is indicted on charges of rape, kidnapping and gross sexual imposition in an Oct. 12 assault on a 15-year-old girl.
The girl was abducted at knifepoint as she walked to Campbell Memorial High School, where she is a sophomore, and raped in a vacant house at 117 Gordon Ave., police said.
The indictment shows the suspect, Charles E. Hudson, with addresses on Gordon and Reed avenues in Campbell.
The girl told police a man she didn’t know approached her on Tremble Avenue near 13th Street, a few streets from her home, and led her to the vacant house, where she was able to kick the knife away after the attack and escape.
Hudson was arrested later on the day of the attack and held on $50,000 bond after being arraigned in Campbell Municipal Court.
On Thursday, the Mahoning County grand jury also indicted Joshua Hansen, 26, of Youll Street, Niles, on charges of kidnapping, attempted rape and felonious assault.
The direct-presentment indictment names a woman as the victim of the offenses, which are alleged to have occurred a week ago.

Todd E. Smith, 30, of Elk Road, Canfield, two counts of receiving stolen property.
Demetric Cobb, 27, of Parkcliff Avenue, failure to comply with a police order.
Jeremy S. Adams, 26, of Maxwell Avenue Northwest, Warren, three counts each of receiving stolen property and forgery.
Elizabeth Dorus, 19, of Perkins-Jones Road Northeast, Warren, receiving stolen property and forgery.
