CAMPBELL — The Artistry of Wigilia, a workshop and celebration of Polish Christmas traditions, will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave. Cost is $5 for adults (free for children).

The Krakowiaki Polish Folk Circle is hosting the workshop to teach Mahoning Valley residents of Polish ancestry holiday traditions they can create, implement and adopt with ease. “Too often I heard the story of how a family’s ethnic holiday customs ended when a grandparent died,” said Aundr a Cika, organizer of the event. “Instead of being overwhelmed, we are providing techniques and tips to pass our colorful heritage on to your family with ease.”

The event will include a Polish Kitchen, serving traditional and Christmas Eve foods, a Polish Marketplace with gift items, decorating kits, holiday ornaments, icons and more.

Lessons and workshops throughout afternoon include opłatek wafer making, dessert creations and ornaments.

Young folk dancers in costume will sing Polish carols at 2:30 p.m.
