Worker severely burned in Ohio ice rink explosion
COLUMBUS (AP) — An electrical panel has exploded at an Ohio ice skating rink, severely injuring one worker.
Columbus Fire Battalion Chief David Whiting says the explosion was sparked this afternoon at Chiller Ice Rink. Whiting says the worker suffered severe burns on his face and hands and was transported to Ohio State University Medical Center here.
Authorities are investigating what caused the explosion. Nobody answered the phone this afternoon at the ice rink, which was evacuated after the explosion.
