Benefit auction is set at Damascus church

DAMASCUS — A benefit auction will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday at Damascus United Methodist Church, 300 Valley Road.

The event is being sponsored by the children of the church. All proceeds will go to various children’s missions around the world.

Since the first auction in 2005, the children have raised more than $10,000. Called Kids for Kids, it will feature more than 100 brand new items for adults to bid on, including gift baskets, framed artwork and gift certificates. Children can enjoy their own separate children’s auction, spending “kids cash” to bid on toys, games and candy.

A lunch counter will be available. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Plan to pay for purchases with cash or check. For more information, call (330) 537-3031.
