Many helped dedicate YSU’s Armed Forces Boulevard

EDITOR:

The Office of Veterans Affairs at Youngstown State University and its advisory council is grateful to everyone who attended the university’s recent dedication of Armed Forces Boulevard.

Their presence was genuinely appreciated by not only the YSU administration, but by all of the veterans and men and women in uniform who were there to mark this historic event paying tribute to past and present military service. We would speculate one would be hard pressed to find another university in our land that would commit such valuable space to honor members of our armed forces.

The words of encouragement, support and gratitude from our guests to past and present members of the armed forces was deeply appreciated by not only the families of the honored veterans and current military, but by others in the community who continue to enjoy the blessings made possibly by their service.

May they all take pride in being there and that Armed Forces Boulevard will be a daily reminder to all who pass that way of the sacrifice and honor of those who have served, and those who continue to serve our nation.
