Winners of art show at church announced


YOUNGSTOWN — The winners of First Unitarian Universalist Church’s In Praise of the Arts show have been announced.

Juror’s Choice, a $100 prize, was awarded to Lynn Parry. First place went to Terri Madden, second place to Mary Kay D’Isa, and third place to Eugenia Pierce. Honorable Mention awards went to Crystal Beiersdorfer, Diane C. Bielski, Dan Kinny, Kathryn Infante (three awards), Roger Jones (two awards), Marcia Malmer, Karen O’Malia (two awards), Jim Rogers (two awards) and Cynthia A. Sahli.

Al Bright, who has been creating art and teaching at Youngstown State University since 1965, was the juror.

The show will continue at 11 a.m. Sunday with a performance of poetry, music and dance. The public is invited, and admission is free. The church is at 1105 Elm St.
