GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced


TUESDAY

• Ikebana will repeat lessons from October at the 10 a.m. meeting. Pearl Marlos will lead the lessons.

• Moccasin will have a jewelry design workshop at 7 p.m. Virginia Lalama and Pat Lehner will be cohostesses and the donation will be coffee. A collection will be taken for a needy family.

• New Bedford has scheduled a road trip to Creekside Gardens in Warren for a tour of the gardens and Christmas Lane. Members are to meet at the church at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be at Leo’s.

WEDNESDAY

• Garden Forum holiday show and general meeting will begin with the presentation of entries from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Fellows Riverside Gardens followed by registration at 11:30. Marie Borocz of Homestead Florist will feature wreaths and centerpieces. There will be a Chinese auction and a buffet catered by Cater 2 U. The cost is $20 for members and $22 for guests. Members will attend a holiday home tour sponsored by East Palestine Town and Country Garden Club from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday or 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

• Mahoning members will attend the Garden Forum flower show, meeting and luncheon at Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens. Hostesses will be Marion Glover and Virginia Hanna.

UPCOMING

• Men’s Garden Club of Youngstown will have a Christmas dinner at 6 p.m. Dec. 9 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Guests are welcome. Reservations are to be made with Bob McGowan at (330) 518-6397.

• Garden club events are published Sunday. The deadline is noon Thursday.
