Media personnel to serve as waiters
BOARDMAN — United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley will sponsor its first United We Dine event of the season from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Jeremiah Bullfrogs Sports Bar and Grille, 1315 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Members of the media will serve as waiters for the evening, and there will be raffles for such items as a Jim Tressel signed football and a 50-50 drawing.

Clothing giveaway proves to be a big success
YOUNGSTOWN — More than 70 families benefited from the Family Service Agency clothing giveaway on Oct. 23. The event was organized by Susan Burnett, family therapist.
Burnett noticed the need when her church organized a similar giveaway and a large number of people showed up.
Agency employees donated clothing and household items to make this event possible.
J.C. Penney donated the use of eight clothing racks, which made the display organized and more accessible to clients.
Items not taken were given to the Salvation Army.
Holiday event to showcase shops in New Wilmington
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — The New Wilmington Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Holiday Shop Hop this Friday and Nov. 14. The event, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, is sure to put shoppers in the holiday spirit as they browse through unique shops that make New Wilmington a great place to begin the season.
Enter to win prizes and enjoy snacks and refreshments. Pick up an entry form and collect stamps from all participating businesses to be eligible to win an Ultimate Splash Package at Radisson Hotel Sharon.
Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, carolers will stroll the streets, and Santa will make an appearance.
