YOUNGSTOWN — St. Andrewes A.M.E. Church, 521 W. Earle, invites the public to a revival at the church at 7 p.m. nightly Wednesday through Friday.
Rev. Jermaine Covington will be the revivalist. The theme is “Stay on the Wall,” based on Nehemiah 4:6.
Participating in the services Wednesday will be the Grace A.M.E. Church Choir from Warren; Thursday, St. Andrewes Male Chorus and Voices of Praise; and Friday, St. John A.M.E. Choir of Worthington, Ohio.
Studying the Sabbath
BOARDMAN — Jewish Christian Studies South will have studies at Ohev Tzedek Congregation, 5245 Glenwood Ave., at 2 p.m. Wednesday, and Dec. 2 and 16.

Prayer Breakfast
YOUNGSTOWN — The Interdenominational Clergywomen’s Alliance of Youngstown and Vicinity will have a Prayer Breakfast on Nov. 14 at Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 505 Parkcliffe Ave. Prophetess Tina Spivey will deliver the message for the event which, begins at 9 a.m. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased in advance by contacting an ICA member or at the door.
Reaching Out Woman to Woman brunch
COLUMBIANA — Connie Schoch, a third-grade teacher at United Local Elementary School in Hanoverton, will speak at the next Reaching Out Woman to Woman brunch at 10 a.m. Nov. 14 at Das Dutch Village Inn.

Schoch, who has taught at United Local more than 30 years, is married to Jeff Schoch, senior pastor of Abundant Life Fellowship in New Waterford. They are the parents of a daughter, Kaitlin, a junior at Baldwin Wallace College.
Mrs. Schoch, of Salem, has been involved in various aspects of ministry for many years, including worship team and choir member, women’s ministries, small group leader, Sunday School teacher and deacon board.
She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Kent State University and a master’s degree in outdoor education from the University of Akron. In addition to her teaching position, she works part time at the front desk at the Salem Community Center.
‘Gifts from God’
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — New Life Baptist Church, 3414 state Route 208, will observe National Adoption Awareness Month by hosting “Gifts from God: A Ceremony to Celebrate Adoption” at 10 a.m. Nov. 14.
Intended to mark the miracle of adoption in the life of a family, it will be a simple, yet poignant ceremony. Anyone touched by this sacred blessing is invited to attend, from adult adoptees to adoptive families, and those who have placed a child for adoption.
“Gifts from God” is a celebration of thanksgiving and provides individuals and families the opportunity to formally remember and give thanks for the depth and breadth of an adoption journey.
The ceremony will include music, as well as readings and reflections about adoption. A handful of adoptive families will share their unique stories and birth families will be remembered with a brief candlelighting.

Soup/sandwich lunch to benefit preschool
COLUMBIANA — The Jerusalem Lutheran Church Preschool, an outreach of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St., is having a soup/sandwich lunch fundraiser Nov. 15.
Carry-outs will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and sit-down meals from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Thrivent Chapter 30766 will be matching funds. The money will be used to help with the preschool’s heating bills.

Southside anniversary
NILES — Southside Presbyterian Church, 102 West Second St., will mark its 85th anniversary Nov. 15. Friends and members are invited to attend this special celebration. The pasta dinner will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Local contemporary Southern gospel artist Caitlin Overton will sing from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Ripplin’ River Boys, a bluegrass group from Middlefield, will present a one-time-only reunion concert from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Seating is limited. Annual craft show
COLUMBIANA — St. Jude Women’s Guild’s annual craft show will be Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Jude Activity Center, 180 Seventh St. The show features hand-crafted and homemade items, a Chinese auction, bake sale, prize raffle and lunch counter with varied menu, including special vegetable-beef soup. ‘Christmas — The Real Story’
