Danks-Porterfield engagement told, wedding planned

AUSTINTOWN — The engagement of Amanda Elizabeth Danks and Bradford Colby Porterfield, both of 4 High Haven Place, Apt TC, Baltimore, and plans for their upcoming marriage are announced by parents of the bride-elect, Paul and Susan Danks, 6609 Country Ridge.

The future groom is a son of William and Carolyn Pace, 4033 Weddington Manor, Matthews, N.C., and Jeffery and Vivian Porterfield, 6538 Water’s Edge Way, Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

Dec. 31 has been chosen by the couple for their 7:30 p.m. wedding Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and for the reception to follow, both at commencement Hall in Bethany College, Bethany, W.Va.

Miss Danks received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bethany College in West Virginia, and a master’s in leadership in teaching with a focus on special education from the College of Notre Dame in Maryland. She teaches special education at the William S. Baer School in the Baltimore City Public School System, and works through Endless Options LLC in Maryland with families of children with autism.

Mr. Porterfield is an accountant at Medifast in Owings Mills, Md. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bethany College and is pursuing a master’s in environmental resource management from the University of Maryland University College in Maryland.
