SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police arrested three men they said were involved in a home invasion.
John Thomas, 48, of Norwood Avenue in Youngstown; Richard Holland Jr., 23, of Cecil Avenue in New Castle, Pa.; and Michael Delph Jr., 27, of Brighton Road in Ellwood City, Pa., were charged Tuesday with burglary, criminal conspiracy, theft and criminal mischief.
Police said the men broke into a Frew Mill Road home about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday and stole close to $10,000 worth of items, including jewelry, a flat-screen television, three DVD players and other electronic equipment.
The homeowner wasn’t at the residence at the time of the break-in, but a witness gave police descriptions of the men as well as a description of the vehicle — a blue, 1993 Oldsmobile with Ohio registration, according to police reports.
The Southwest Regional Police and Hermitage police department stopped the vehicle just before 12:30 p.m. on state Route 18 in Hermitage, Pa., and took the suspects into custody.
The men were arraigned and taken to Lawrence County Jail with bond set at $25,000.
