LIBERTY — The Rev. David Gilbert officiated at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 14 as marriage vows were exchanged by Marie Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Spencer of Hubbard, and Thayne Albrecht, son of Frances Lelesch of Niles.

The wedding took place at Church Hill United Methodist Church, and a reception followed at Avalon Squaw Creek Country Club in Vienna.

The couple honeymooned in Naples, Fla., and are living in Niles.

An ivory charmeuse gown designed with a halter-style neckline and dropped waist was worn by the bride. It featured a godet chapel train adorned with beaded embroidered appliqu s. She carried a bouquet of black magic roses wrapped with silver satin ribbon.

Brigitt Berk was matron of honor, and bridesmaid was Diane Ponton, the bride’s cousin. Junior bridesmaid was the bride’s cousin Abigail Ponton. They wore black gowns. Gowned in ivory and black was the flower girl, Olivia Ponton, another cousin of the bride.

Serving as best man was David Wiltrout, and groomsman was Tommy Davis.

The bride is employed as manager at Blue Ribbon Cleaners in Youngstown.

Mr. Albrecht is a foreman with Wiltrout Roofing in Weathersfield.
