Ex-boyfriend charged with Pa. husband’s killing

BETHEL PARK, Pa. (AP) — A Pittsburgh-area man is jailed on charges he ran over the husband of his ex-girlfriend, killing him.

Thirty-five-year-old Jason Kasper, of Bethel Park, faces a preliminary hearing Friday on charges of homicide, homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence.

Police say Kasper dated Tracy Pavlick after she separated last year from her husband, 49-year-old John Pavlick. The couple reconciled and, police say, Kasper came to the Pavlick residence after seeing the couple out at a Halloween Party.

Police say Kasper drove his car onto John Pavlick, who was crushed and killed beneath the vehicle in a neighbor’s rain-soaked yard early Sunday. Kasper told police he didn’t mean to run over Pavlick who, Kasper claims, jumped on the hood of his car.

Court records don’t list an attorney for Kasper.
