STEUBENVILLE — The LaBrae High football team ended their season on a winning note Saturday night — and Campbell couldn’t be happier.

The Vikings (4-6) defeated Steubenville Catholic Central 21-14, completing a series of unlikely dominoes that landed the Red Devils their first playoff berth since 1999.

Campbell (7-3) entered the night needing wins from Elyria Catholic (over Cleveland Central Catholic), Martins Ferry (over Bellaire) and LaBrae.

All three happened, and the Red Devils snagged the eighth and final playoff spot in Division IV, Region 13.

Catholic Central finished its season with a 2-8 mark.
