Garden variety gifts? Not at this open house

YOUNGSTOWN — The Shop in the Gardens at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek MetroParks announces a Holiday Open House Weekend to take place Friday through Nov. 8. Hours Friday and Saturday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and hours Sunday are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Arrayed in all its holiday finery, Shop in the Gardens offers unique gifts for family and friends. The shop is noted for home decor, seasonal tabletop decor, unique jewelry, handbags and scarves. Also featured are garden and nature items and indoor flowering bulbs for forcing. The 2010 Mill Creek MetroParks calendar featuring photos by local photographer Scott Lanz is also available.

New this year is the first in a series of MetroParks holiday ornaments.

All purchases of Thanksgiving and Christmas merchandise only are 20 percent off during this three-day open house.
