Business symposium
KENT — The seventh annual Veterans Business Symposium is Nov. 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kent State University’s Student Center. The keynote luncheon speaker is Lt. Col. Tom Lippert, commander of the Defense Contracts Management Agency in Cleveland.
Last year, more than 400 veterans and their supporters from 10 states attended the event, which includes numerous exhibitors. Early registration ends Tuesday.
To register, contact Jane Stewart at (440) 357-2294. The cost of $40 per attendee includes breakfast and lunch. A $25 surcharge will be assessed for registrations received after Tuesday.
This event, Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Centers and the Veterans Business Council of Northern Ohio in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration, is offered to provide veterans with an opportunity to learn from a variety of business-development resources; network with federal and state buying activities, benefit from government-contracting workshops, and meet with government, prime contractor and private industry buyers.
