Reception honors Mehles for their 50th anniversary

GIRARD — Anthony and Rosemarie Mehle, 989 Villa Place, marked the occasion of their 50th anniversary with a dinner reception by invitation on April 26 at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.

Hosts of the party were the Mehles’ children, Dr. Anthony L. (Irene) Mehle of Canfield and Dr. Mark E. (Barbara) Mehle of Lakewood. The family includes five grandchildren.

On April 11, 1959, the former Rosemarie Bindel and Mr. Mehle were married at St. Joseph Church in Youngstown.

Mrs. Mehle, who retired in 1962, had worked as a bookkeeper/payroll officer at Golden Age/Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. in Youngstown. She is a member of St. Rose Church, St. Rose Catholic Women’s Club and the Saxon Club.

Mr. Mehle was supervisor of engineering for Delphi Packard, a division of General Motors, before he retired in 1997. He is a member of St. Rose Church, The American Institute of Industrial Engineers, and MVIMA. He served in the U.S. Army with the 507th Engineers in Toul, France.
