Julia’s earns honor

STAFF REPORT

HUBBARD — Julia’s Bed & Breakfast once again was the only Mahoning Valley business to earn a Four Diamond or Five Diamond award from AAA.

Nine restaurants and lodging establishments in Northeast Ohio earned the honors, AAA said Thursday.

Inn Walden in Aurora was the region’s only Five Diamond winner.

Julia’s is not eligible for that award because it doesn’t have certain amenities, such as a swimming pool.

This is the fourth time the local bed and breakfast has earned the Four Diamond award. Less than 4 percent of lodging facilities and restaurants nationwide earned the Four Diamond award.

The West Liberty Street Inn and adjacent Pine Lakes Golf Course are part of Valley View Enterprises, which is owned by J.V. Ferrara.

The other Four Diamond winners were:

- The Baricelli Inn, 2203 Cornell Road, Cleveland.

- The Leopard Restaurant, 600 N. Aurora Road, Aurora.

- Ristorante Giovanni’s, 25550 Chagrin Blvd., Beachwood.

- Georgian Manor Inn, 123 W. Main St., Norwalk.

- Intercontinental Hotel & Conference Center, 9801 Carnegie Ave., Cleveland.

- Red Maple Inn, 14707 S. Cheshire St., Burton.

- The Ritz-Carlton, 1515 W. 3rd St., Cleveland.
