Genealogical society plans its annual potluck dinner

BOARDMAN — The Mahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genalogical Society will have its annual potluck buffet dinner at 6 p.m. June 8 at St. Charles Church ministry building, 7325 Westview Drive, at the corner of Route 224. The building is handicap accessible.

Installation of officers for the 2009-10 season will include John Holderman, president; June Logan, vice president; Carol Check, recording secretary; Louis Joseph, treasurer; Janet Griffin, corresponding secretary; and Sue Bell, historian.

Greg Richer, Youngstown Fire Department Historian and Webmaster, will speak about the men and women, past and present, who make up YFD. The computer interest group will not meet. The Web site is www.mahoningcountychapterogs.org.
