Gas station attendant shot to death in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) — A gas station worker is dead after a shooting here.

Police say the employee, 40-year-old Hussein Alghooran, of New Castle, was found lying in front of a Marathon gas station’s convenience store around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. He had a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

New Castle police say the shooting may have been part of a robbery attempt.

No arrests have been reported.
