A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

May 19

Weapon: A traffic stop on U.S. Route 224 resulted in charges of carrying a concealed weapon against an Austintown man, 19, and a 22-year-old Youngstown man. Found were a knife and a set of brass knuckles, a report said.

May 21

Identity theft: A Dobbins Road man found out his credit card had been used several times without consent in West Palm Beach, Fla., to rack up $206 worth of charges.

May 23

Drugs/weapon: A township man, 50, faced charges of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia and a Columbus man, 48, was charged with drug abuse when police found a knife, suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana pipe during a traffic stop near Miller and Kansas roads.

BOARDMAN

May 21

Arrests: A traffic stop on Glenwood Avenue led to the arrests of three Youngstown women, 27, 28 and 29, on probation-violation counts. Additional charges were forgery and passing bad checks.

Weapon: A man faced felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon and being a convicted felon with a firearm after police pulled him over on Market Street and found a loaded 9 mm firearm. A small amount of suspected marijuana also was in the car.

Counterfeit: Two females passed $350 worth of fake money at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Criminal damaging: Someone smashed a $100 cell phone in the 4000 block of South Avenue.

Theft: A debit card was used without permission for charges totaling $87.

Theft: A purse was stolen in the 1400 block of East Midlothian Boulevard.

Theft: A deposit containing an undisclosed sum was stolen from a Market Street pizza restaurant.

Counterfeit: A Mathews Road woman reported getting a phony $2,850 check for property, as part of a scam.

Theft: A Garden Valley Court man told police he never received an item he had bought via the Internet.

Domestic violence: A 33-year-old Boardman woman was arrested on a warrant.

Theft: Two township females, 16 and 18, were charged in the theft of 10 articles of clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Criminal damaging: A stone was used to break a window in the 90 block of Wilda Avenue.

Trespassing: Someone entered a garage in the 4100 block of Oak Knoll Drive without permission.

Theft: More than $238 worth of clothing was stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall, resulting in charges against a Boardman woman, 28, and a 30-year-old Campbell woman.

Assault: A township boy, 13, was arrested on Shady Run Road on charges of assault and menacing. The teen admitted having struck a 10-year-old boy and pointing a screwdriver in the victim’s direction, a report said.

Drugs: A 23-year-old Rogers man faced charges of possession of cocaine and marijuana after having been stopped in the 5400 block of Market Street.

May 22

Criminal damaging: A front-door window was damaged in the 7000 block of Paxton Road.

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 18, and a Campbell woman, 24, were charged with taking $260 worth of clothing from Macy’s.

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 48, was charged with stealing eight steaks from Save-a-Lot, 223 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Domestic violence: A 23-year-old Boardman man was charged after a woman alleged her boyfriend had grabbed and dragged her, then punched her in the head and chest and bit her on the leg.

May 23

Criminal damaging: A car was damaged in the 1500 block of Rose Hedge Drive.

Arrests: Two unrelated traffic stops in the township led to the arrests of two men, 46 and 47, and a woman, 50, all of whom were wanted on probation-violation charges.

Theft: A vehicle at the Southern Park Mall was entered and $200, a debit card and 10 checks were removed.

Robbery: Authorities apprehended a 42-year-old city man and charged him with robbery, resisting arrest, obstructing official business and possession of criminal tools after one pair each of shoes and socks was stolen from Shoe Carnival, 550 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: An 18-year-old Farrell, Pa., man was accused of and charged with stealing a $58 shirt from Macy’s.

May 24

Theft: Authorities booked a 47-year-old Youngstown man wanted on a warrant from the township charging him.

Burglary: To a Lemans Drive apartment from which two compact discs, three DVDs and medications were stolen.

Domestic violence: A 49-year-old township man was arrested at his apartment and charged, accused of having threatened to kill his wife with knives.

May 25

Vandalism: Someone shot a BB or pellet, striking a vehicle on Hitchcock Road and causing an estimated $500 damage.

Theft: Two lawn mowers were stolen from a garage in the 400 block of Indianola Road.

Criminal damaging: Sixteen plants and flowers were damaged at Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road. Damage came to about $176.

Theft: A $125 yard ornament was stolen from a home in the 7900 block of Sigle Lane.

Citation: A North Lima man, 19, was cited in the 4100 block of Riverside Drive when a small quantity of suspected marijuana was found.

Criminal damaging: Three males kicked and damaged an 8-foot section of fence in the 200 block of Boardman Boulevard.

Theft: Two people reported their MP3 players stolen while in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A Youngstown man, 23, was accused in the theft of $185 worth of merchandise from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.

Burglary: To a residence in the 700 block of Glen Park Road. Stolen were a jewelry box, a 32-inch TV and a paint sprayer.

Theft: A man in his 20s took a 12-pack of beer from an East Midlothian boulevard gas station.

Domestic violence: Charged was a Boardman woman, 37, accused of scratching and pushing down her sister, then threatening to kill her.
