Yo-Mah-O chapter member singled out for recognition

CANFIELD — Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals marked Administrative Professionals Day during a recognition banquet April 22 at Tippecanoe Country Club.
Singled out for recognition at the event was Bonnie Filipovich, who was named the Chapter’s Member of the Year.
After joining the chapter in 1994, Filipovich served on numerous committees including retirement, social, Administrative Professionals Day/Week, ways and means, education, bylaws and standing rule, and Member of the Year, and chaired the scholarship committee for several years. She has served on the executive board as assistant treasurer and vice president.
Born in Brookfield and educated at Youngstown State University and the Institute of Financial education, she was a teller for Home Savings and Loan and advanced to consumer loan clerk, loan underwriting secretary, consumer insurance department supervisor, manager of student loans and consumer insurance, and is currently portfolio manager in consumer lending.
Filipovich lives in Boardman with her husband, Charles. They have two daughters, Pam and Tammy, and three grandchildren.
