7 errors doom OTN Performance in Class B defeat to Astro Falcons

STRUTHERS — OTN Performance committed seven errors that led to 10 unearned runs as the Astro Falcons won their second straight on Monday night, 14-4, in Class B action at Cene Park.

Jared Turocy went the first five innings for the win on the mound and also had a single and a triple while Mark Warchol and Sutton Whiting had three hits each for Astro.

Jay Rowland had three hits while Joe Sekula and Dale Kinzman added two singles each for OTN.

Evan Ballinger allowed eight runs (two earned) on just two hits and suffered the loss for OTN (1-1).

1080 Media 4, Livi Steel 2

Chris Morgan and Nick Timko combined on a three-hitter for 1080 Media (4-2).

Morgan went the first five innings, allowing two runs on three hits with five strikeouts for the win. Timko tossed the last two innings for the save.

Matt Shelton and Justin Vrabel had two hits for the winners. Dan Costello suffered the loss for Livi.

1080 Media turned a triple play in the sixth inning. With runners on first and second Mike Livi hit a ball caught by shortstop Joe Alizia for the first out. Alizia then touched second for the second out and threw to Vrabel for the final out.
