WARREN — Two shootings and an armed robbery were reported in the city over the holiday weekend.

A 31-year-old Warren man came to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital at 3 a.m. Monday with one or two gunshot wounds to the abdomen, but the man refused to answer any questions about the incident, saying he would “take care of this himself.”

Police did, however, take possession of the man’s clothing and personal property for detectives to use for follow-up. The hospital had no record of the man by Tuesday afternoon.

On Sunday afternoon, a 22-year-old Mineral Ridge man reported that he was robbed at gunpoint as he was driving at the intersection of Oak Street and Parkman Road southwest.

The man said a young man approached his vehicle at about 1:40 p.m., asked for a cigarette and then pointed a handgun in his face, saying “Give me your wallet and cell phone and don’t yell or I’ll shoot you.”

The suspect then entered the vehicle through the passenger window, grabbed the man’s wallet and fled on foot. At 3 a.m. Saturday, a 23-year-old Warren man reported that he was shot in the calf by an unidentified person at the USA Gas Mart, 317 Pine Street.

He said there was a large gathering of people in the parking lot and couldn’t tell who fired the shot. The police report doesn’t indicate that he went to a hospital.
