Lane restrictions on 224 in Boardman postponed to June 1

BOARDMAN — The scheduled lane restrictions this week on U.S. Route 224 from Applewood Boulevard to just west of South Avenue have been postponed until Monday.

Updates will follow before these restrictions occur.

The work is the beginning of a $5.2 million project to widen U.S. 224 with the addition of right-turn lanes from Boardman Park Drive to just west of South. The project also includes improvements to 15 traffic signals from Parkside Drive to Tiffany Boulevard. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by late October.
