REUNIONS | Former classmates plan to meet
• East High January and June classes of 1949 will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at Johnny’s on Market Street. Spouses are welcome. For more information call (330) 757-0696, or (330) 757-9552.
• The 87th Isaac Anderson and Lydia Warner reunion will be June 27 at Grove City Memorial Park, state Route 48, north of Grove City, Pa. Coffee will be available at 11 a.m. at the Memorial Shelter, where a meal will be at noon, followed by games and socializing. Those attending are reminded to take a table service, casserole and dessert. Coffee, tea and cold beverages will be provided.
• The National Stanley Family Association will have a 20th reunion June 26 and 27 at the Pearce House Museum in Damascus. Speaking on “The Rise and Fall of American Slavery” on Friday will be Jeannie Martinelli, docent at the Salem Historical Society. The featured speaker on Saturday will be Jeff Mihalik of New Waterford, an outhouse archaeologist. Also on Saturday there will be a trolley tour of the underground railroad safe houses in Salem.
