Boardman 3, Steubenville Central Catholic 1

BOARDMAN – Starting pitcher Alex DiDomenico fanned eight of the 10 batters she faced while Julie Sokol rapped a two-run double in the second inning, to lead Boardman (22-7). DiDomenico was relieved in the fourth by Shannon Morrow, who in turn was relieved in the fifth by Sokol. Morrow also had a run-scoring double in the fifth inning.

Western Reserve 2, Jackson-Milton 0

ELLSWORTH — Senior Elizabeth Srock threw a no-hitter to end her high school career for Western Reserve (19-5). Srock’s no-hitter was her fifth of the season for the Blue Devils, who finished 14-0 in the Inter Tri-County League Tier Two and have a 24-game winning streak in league play. Srock finished with eight strikeouts and two walks in facing 23 batters. The Stubbs sisters — Sissy and Maggie — each had a triple, while Melissa Burky had two singles. Sissy Stubbs also had a single. In the sixth, the triple by Maggie Stubbs knocked in her sister. In the first inning, Sissy Stubbs scored on her own triple due to a throwing error.
