DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Sarah B Wawerek, of 1401 SW 82nd Ave., Plantation, Fla., and Thomas K. Lodge, of the same address, were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Feb. 21 on the boardwalk at Deerfield Beach, Fla.

The Rev. Jack Remaley presided, and a reception followed at the Westin Hotel in North Fort Lauderdale, Fla. After a Caribbean cruise, the couple live in Plantation.

The bride wore a strapless organza corset gown with beaded metallic lace.

Pool blue gowns were worn by the maid of honor, Lauren Domenech, and the bridesmaids, Angela Hernandez and Annie Kondas, sister of the groom; and junior bridesmaids Lilli Wawerek and Chloe Wawerek, sisters of the bride. Flower girl Isabella Hernandez wore a white eyelet dress.

Lee Liguore was best man, and groomsmen were Erik Hall and Jason Catone. Ring bearer was Brandon Lodge, the groom’s son.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Florida Atlantic University in Davie, Fla., and is a kindergarten teacher in Broward County Schools in Weston, Fla. She is a daughter of John and Cherri Wawerek of 16294 Northwest 17th Court, Pembroke Pines, Fla.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Ohio State University. He is a city planner for the City of Fort Lauderdale in Florida. He is the son of Thomas and Karen Lodge, 6141 Celesta Place, Poland.
