Afterward he operated his own business, F.T.H. Construction. He was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame from Ursuline High School in 2000.

On June 14, Mr. and Mrs. Harmicar will renew their marriage vows during a ceremony officiated by Bishop George Murry at St. Columba Cathedral.
