Beaver Ruritan Club plans annual car show

NORTH LIMA — Beaver Township Ruritan Club will have its 5th Annual Father’s Day Car Show on June 21 at South Range High School, rain or shine.

Registration will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the entry fee is $6. The show will be from 1-5 p.m.

Dash plaques will go to the first 100 cars. Features include a 50-50 raffle, Chinese auction, door prizes a DJ and goodie bags. Expert quilter, author will visit Austintown

AUSTINTOWN — Pat Knoechel of California, an author, teacher and expert quilter, and the sister of Eleanor Burns of the “Quilt in A Day” books and TV series, will visit Austintown.

Knoechel will appear from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1 at Idaho Alliance Church of Idaho Road. She will have her quilt books and merchandise for sale. She will autograph items after the show.

A $4 donation includes a quilt trunk show, quilting demonstration, lunch and door prizes.

Stitching Sisters will be accepting applications for membership to their quilt group.
