Motorcycle accident ends in fatality in Lawrence County

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — An early morning motorcycle accident in Shenango Township resulted in the death of a woman.

Just after midnight today, township police responded to a one-vehicle accident at Ellwood Road, just north of Center Church Road.

Police said the motorcycle, which was carrying two people, was traveling north on Ellwood when the cyclist lost control. Both people were thrown from the motorcycle.

The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, and a condition report on the male driver wasn’t available, police said. Police did not release their names, ages or addresses. The accident remains under investigation.
