Shoot Out competition will benefit symphony

YOUNGSTOWN — A $50,000 Shoot Out Contest will be a feature of Come Play Fore the Symphony, a golf outing that will take place June 17 at the Youngstown Country Club.

The event, sponsored by The Youngstown Symphony Guild, will begin with a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m., after lunch and registration at 11:30 a.m.

Throughout the event, golfers will compete for hole-in-one contests for prizes that include sailing on the America’s Cup Yacht in San Diego, white-water rafting for two in California, and fly fishing in Massachusetts or hot-air ballooning for two.

Golfers participating in mulligan and putting competitions will be eligible for a five-day Carnival Line cruise package. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.
