“Into the Woods.” Salem Community Theatre, 490 E. State St., Salem. Auditions are 7-10 p.m. May 31 and June 2. Individuals should prepare a one-minute vocal selection, preferably a Stephen Sondheim song, and provide sheet music in their key. They should also be prepared to read from the script. MUSICIANS
Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello), substitute brass and percussion for the 2009 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 Thursdays at the Tri-C’s Metropolitan Campus Auditorium in downtown Cleveland. Audition requirements are one solo piece and one orchestral excerpt of your choice.
