Man says neighbor attacked him a year ago

YOUNGSTOWN — A 49-year-old city man told police he wants his 49-year-old neighbor arrested for sexually assaulting him more than a year ago.

The Market Street resident told police he opened his door for his neighbor sometime in March 2008 thinking the man was a police officer or firefighter. He said there was an argument over sex, then he passed out after consuming several beers.

The man told officers he was raped by his neighbor while passed out.

The man told police he went to the hospital to have a “rape kit” completed. He also said the filed a police report at the time of the incident, but police do not have a record of that report.

The man said he is still suffering from physical pain and wants his attacker taken off the streets.
