Go Go Cabaret testimony continues; employees defend club
YOUNGSTOWN — Testimony continues today at the before Judge Lou A. D’Apolito of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on whether the Go Go Cabaret should remain closed.
Atty. Martin Yavorcik called defense witnesses on behalf of the Austintown club, which was closed after a May 1 raid which yielded charges of drug use, prostitution and underage alcohol consumption.
Curtis Jones, who worked as a floor manager for owner and manager Sebastian Rucci, said the club had rules against such conduct.
“Sebastian had three rules,” said Jones, “No drinking, no drugs and no [sex].”
Other employees gave testimony on behalf of the club, saying it was a first-class establishment and painted it as a positive for the community.
“I love it,” Mike Livosky, who worked as a disc jockey for the club, said. “You won’t find another place like it, that’s for sure.”
Peter Sciullo, who was responsible for monitoring the cameras outside of the private rooms, said the establishment was more like an “adult playground” and that the club offered sports and entertainment to patrons in addition to adult entertainment.
Sciullo also testified the club had a “zero tolerance” policy on drugs and sex on the property.
Testimony is expected to continue at 1:45 p.m. with two more defense witnesses.
