Abby Tierney plans to become bride of Michael Gorby

BERLIN CENTER — Abby Lee Tierney and Michael Scott Gorby, both of 15330 Mock Road, are announcing their engagement and plans for their summer wedding.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Judith C. Baird of Boardman and Wilbur G. Tierney of Hanoverton, attends Youngstown State University and is pursuing a degree in middle childhood education — science and mathematics.

The prospective groom, son of Wayne and Pam Gorbyzz of Berlin Center, also attends YSU, studying for a degree in early childhood education.

The couple’s wedding is planned for 1:30 p.m. July 18 at St. Paul’s Church in Salem. Their reception will take place at the Salem Saxon Club that evening. Invitations for both occasions will be extended.
