Forum Health continues negotiations with its unions

YOUNGSTOWN — Negotiations with two unions at Forum Health are continuing past a deadline that was set by the hospital system.

Talks with Ohio Nurses Association and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees took place throughout the weekend, according to a Forum press release.

No new agreements have been reached, but talks were productive, said Walter Pishkur, Forum chief executive.

Pishkur said Forum is still considering asking a bankruptcy court judge to revoke union contracts. He had given the unions a deadline of last Friday for reaching new contract agreements before taking that action.
