GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced

TUESDAY

• Columbiana will meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Women’s Club for a trip to Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek MetroParks, Youngstown. Hostesses will be Ruth Hepp, Mary Ann Naple and Edith Grossen.

• Holborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 6 p.m. at the Western Reserve Village in Canfield Fairgrounds for a spring garden cleanup. Hostesses will be Mable Baker, Claudia DiRienzo and Beth Beckwith.

• East members will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Bruno’s in Poland for lunch and a shoe demonstration by Jo Ann Ellis. Irene Parker is hostess.

Wednesday

• Daisy Dozen will meet for lunch at the Youngstown Club with Beth Bacani and Gayle Gillespie in charge. The speaker will be Josh Butler of Bank Trust Tracking.

• Garden Gate will tour Butler Institute of American Art at 7 p.m. and have dinner after the tour. Dorothy Granchie is hostess.

THURSDAY

• Coitsville will meet at 6 p.m. for an annual civic planting at Coitsvillle Fire Station. Mrs. Renee Burrows will be the hostess.

• Mahoning Valley Rose Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens. The program will be on preparing roses for the June 20 and 21 rose show. New members will be accepted. Dues are $15 a year; senior citizens receive a discount. Refreshments will be served. For more information contact (330) 318-7952.

FRIDAY

• Suburban will have a program on a floral spray to be presented by Mrs. Charles Kane at 12:30 p.m.

• Garden club events are published Sunday. The deadline is noon Thursday.
