IN THE CUP! Area holes in one


Marylin Conti of Boardman scored an ace on the 122-yard No. 8 hole on Mill Creek’s North course. She used a driver. Witnesses were Dolly Haladay, Barb Kongmuang, Elaine Rapp and Sue Donnelly.

Adam Tokash of Boardman aced the 149-yard No. 3 hole on the Mill Creek North course using a 9-iron. Witnesses were Rob McGovern, Dave Toto, Thad Tokash and Giffy Sakes.

Jeanne Gaume of Youngstown scored an ace on Bedford Trails’ 12th hole. She used a 6-iron on the 120-yard hole. Witnesses were June McFate, Sally Krolicki and Jean Dadejko.

Bill Morrison of Cortland aced the 135-yard No. 17 hole at Olde Dutch Mill. He used a 9 wood. Witnesses were Bill Evans, Orlando Santiago and Bob Nichols.

John Gordulic Jr. of Youngstown aced the No. 18 hole at Bedford Trails. He used a 6-iron on the 135-yard hole. Witnesses were Nick Ferguson, Ron Desko and John Welsh.

Rich Cantanziriti scored a hole in one at Bedford Trails as part of the Thursday Jednota League. Cantanziriti aced the 150-yard No. 6 hole, equaling a feat he accomplished in 2007. He used a 7-iron and his witness was Duke Maddamma.

Brian Taylor of Liberty aced the 174-yard No. 2 with a 5-iron at Reserve Run. Joe Koren and Pete Walsh witnessed the shot.

David Collinsworth aced the 145-yard No. 12 with a 5-iron at Bedford Trails. It was the sixth hole-in-one this week at the course. Witnesses were Frank Gardner, Boyd Vandergrist and Andy Kush.
